The Wind.

The wind in the trees,
oh how I wish I could be,
just like thee,
so Free!

Can I be,
just like thee
so free
In the trees?
Wishing . . .

My thoughts turn to a face I once knew,
A smile so sweet and eyes so blue.
Thinking of his baby face
I wouldn't want him to see me in this place.
To see the disappointment I don't deserve
And thinking these thoughts that are so absurd.
The sky is crying
And inside I am dying.
Wishing on a star is good
And sometimes I wish it would
Come true, so that you could be
Sending your love to me.
